Montrose, CO – December 9, 2025

Volunteers launched an urgent four-day petition drive today in Montrose to secure the last remaining signatures needed in Senate District 5 to place four public-safety initiatives on the Colorado ballot.

Initiatives 95, 108, 109, and 110 are designed to help law enforcement agencies better coordinate efforts to combat child sex trafficking and arrest violent offenders. Organizers say the measures would remove bureaucratic obstacles that currently hinder multi-jurisdictional investigations and prosecutions.

“This is the final sprint,” said campaign organizers. “We’re just a few signatures short in Senate District 5. Every person who signs today brings us closer to giving law enforcement the tools they need to protect Colorado’s kids and take dangerous criminals off our streets.”

Organizers are urging residents of Senate District 5 to stop by immediately, sign the petitions, and bring friends and family. Only registered voters in the district can sign.

With the signature deadline looming, volunteers emphasized that these final four days will determine whether the initiatives qualify for the ballot and give Colorado voters the chance to strengthen protections against child sex trafficking and violent crime.
