Montrose City Council unanimously appoints Cindee Williams to fill the vacant At-Large seat.
Ms. Williams was immediately sworn in and seated. She will serve in the seat through the 2028 election.
Background: On September 7, 2026 Councilor Dave Frank resigned from the District IV seat. Council on October 6, 2026 appointed Adam Woodden to the District IV seat after Councilor Woodden resigned from his At-Large seat in order to open the seat to a larger swath of candidates. As a result the Council received an additional 6 applications to add to the original 4 applications to fill the vacancy. The pool of candidates was filled with a large contingency of qualified and competent candidates. With a unanimous vote, Ms. Williams comes into the seat knowing she has the support of the entire council. This is a win for the city of Montrose in an effort to unify the citizens.
