  The Radical Left-Wing activists in Montrose like Ellen Angeles, Linda Gann and their crew are planning to disrupt the mission of the school board in their attempt to hire competent council.  Please make it a priority to be there in support of our Conservative Members who WE VOTED INTO OFFICE in November!

In November 2025, Montrose voters delivered a clear conservative victory by electing Neisha Balleck, Scott Scarborough, Tiffany Vincent, and Shane Daly to the RE-1J school board. This landslide reflected widespread demand for principled leadership emphasizing educational excellence, fiscal accountability, and traditional values. However, radical left-wing activists have launched desperate efforts to sabotage this shift, including baseless fearmongering over the potential hiring of Brad Miller and his firm, Miller, Farmer, Carlson Law.

Brad Miller's Strong Track Record

Brad Miller stands as a dedicated champion of conservative education reforms in Colorado. As a former teacher and coach, he has advised dozens of schools and districts, promoting charter schools and parental rights. His contributions have yielded tangible successes. In Woodland Park, student achievement surged, earning statewide accolades. Cortez climbed 30 spots in rankings. Four of Colorado's top 10 charter schools count among his clients. Critics falsely claim Miller causes superintendent turnover, but evidence shows this rarely occurs.

Miller's personal commitment to education runs deep. He, his wife, mother-in-law, son, and daughter-in-law all serve as public school teachers. His four children reside nearby, reinforcing his family's devotion to public education. Over 25 years, Miller has supported more than 120 entities, with only one instance of direct involvement in ending collective bargaining agreements back in 2014-2015.

Importantly, no board attorney, regardless of who it is, holds the power to fire staff or dictate policy as the fearmongers allege. Attorneys provide legal advice only; decisions on personnel and policy rest solely with the elected board and administration. This fact exposes the hysteria as unfounded propaganda designed to mislead and divide.

Johnson Elementary Principal’s Inappropriate and Biased Presentation

Shockingly, Johnson Elementary Principal Kirsten Bloomfield abused her position by creating and delivering a PowerPoint to staff during official school hours, aimed at discrediting Miller and his firm. The presentation detailed alleged negatives, such as claims of inflated legal costs, frequent superintendent departures, and district chaos in places like Woodland Park and Cortez. It highlighted lawsuits and supposed agenda-pushing, while omitting Miller's proven improvements in student outcomes and rankings. This one-sided narrative ignored balanced facts, painting Miller as a disruptive force without evidence of widespread harm.

Bloomfield's actions represent a gross misuse of taxpayer-funded resources and time. By pushing this propaganda on school grounds, she not only undermined the elected board's authority but also sowed unnecessary fear and division among educators. This unethical conduct borders on insubordination, flouting professional standards and potentially breaching district policies against political advocacy in the workplace. As a school leader, Bloomfield should prioritize student welfare over partisan sabotage. Her behavior exemplifies the entitlement of entrenched leftists who reject democratic outcomes, demanding swift accountability to restore trust and focus on education.

Upholding Conservative Priorities

The board must resist these cowardly tactics from left-wing activists. Voters chose change, and engaging Miller aligns perfectly with that vision and advancing merit-based teaching. Montrose RE-1J needs leaders who honor the electorate, not those intimidated by the far-left. By standing firm, the district can secure legal guidance that bolsters family values and academic rigor, ensuring a brighter future for all students.
