Hope vs Hanks

Hope Scheppelman was expected to win the Republican Primary in June for CD-3 followed by the general election victory in November prior to President Trump pulling his endorsement of her.

President Trump, as known now, has re-endorsed current Congressman Jeff Hurd after persuading Hope to suspend her campaign; so why did the CD-3 assembly nominate Ron Hanks as their preferred candidate?

If it was necessary for Hope to step-aside for Hurd, then why have an alternate candidate?  Is the CD-3 assembly going against President Trump?  If Hope could not go against the President, then why would an alternate candidate be successful in doing so?

If Hope had to step down despite the fact she campaigned (i.e. she worked to gain the voters trust) for months in the District, and was expected to defeat Hurd in the Primary; so why did the assembly nominate Hanks who did not campaign nor did he work for months as she did to generate the voters support?

Hanks came in as if he expected to be anointed without doing the work, i.e. campaign.  More importantly, if the assembly did not want to accept the    President’s support for Hurd, then it should have demonstrated it still supported the rightful candidate who was thrown under the bus, unfortunately, by the President; and proudly and loudly proclaim their nominee was Hope Scheppelman!!!

CD-3 voters for the Primary now have two undesirable choices:

(1) Jeff Hurd who is proudly aligned with a RINO who sponsored legislation that SEXUALLY EXPLOITS CHILDREN as well as voted to decriminalize DRUG DEALERS and FENTANYL.  In addition to his betrayal of Trump’s policies,  Hurd also  supported our two U.S. Senators land grab attempts against farmers, ranchers, miners, energy workers, and the tourism industry.

(2) Ron Hanks accused a 2024 Republican Primary opponent who fought in combat twice in Iraq of “akin to stolen valor” - a FALSE and DESPICABLE ACCUSATION by Hanks.  He is known for his videos of shooting at inanimate objects rather than face the heat and hell of combat that his opponent experienced, not once, but twice in Iraq as service to our Country.  Hanks also condoned and never condemned his top supporters of falsely accusing his opponent of being “under investigation”.  It was a blatant LIE to destroy a Republican opponent.  If you act like a Democrat and use the Democrat tactic of false accusations, maybe you are not a real Republican or a true conservative?  Finally, I wonder if this so-called “conservative” Republican is still shacking up with his girlfriend?  And what address is he using this time to claim legal residence in CD-3?

There is a far better choice for the voters than the above mentioned candidates.  The voters can express their will and desire for Hope Scheppelman by writing her name on the Republican Primary ballot.  After all, it will be a majority of Republicans voting in the Primary rather than a small group that represented a minority at this year’s CD-3 assembly.  If you are going to vote against Hurd and against the President’s endorsement, then at least vote for the individual that worked for your vote in the first place.   You know Hope Scheppelman will support the President’s America First agenda.

Hurd will betray the President if re-elected as he has done too often in his first term, and Hanks can not be trusted either to support the President.  For example,  he repeatedly attacked his 2024 opponent for being a former Democrat.  If you need a reminder, President Trump was also a former Democrat as well as President Reagan.  In fact, Reagan was a Democrat for almost thirty years.

Hurd and Hanks are not what we need, but there is HOPE for a real conservative victory in CD-3:  write-in “Hope Scheppelman” as your Republican candidate for U.S. Congress.
